The Restaurant at Meadowood Residency

Dearest TRAM past guests,


As you likely know, the Glass Fire that ravaged the Napa Valley in the final days of September, did not spare The Restaurant at Meadowood. Like many wineries and homes within our community, the building that housed TRAM was completely destroyed. Our collective emotions are still raw, and the summation of these emotions remains difficult. What I can confidently express is the pride in the work done by so many for so long; the honor to have been able to work with such great people; and the joy in taking care of so many of you over the years. On behalf of the team I wish to thank you for the outpouring of love and support over the past month--– it has served as a salve and as an affirmation of our work.


Suffice it to say this year has brought many challenges to our community and industry- the recent wildfire being the most difficult. Please know that we are preparing to pivot once more, eager and with fresh eyes. We move forward with the promise that the team will do our best to deserve all of the love shown to us over the years. Please know that your support will help propel us forward, as the wind at our backs, towards a bright future.

During the months of March and April, The Restaurant at Meadowood was in “residency” at The Farmhouse at Ojai Valley Inn, designed by our friends Howard Backen and Silvia Nobili. While the residency was planned well before the Glass Fire, our time in Ojai served as an opportunity for the TRAM team to continue to cook and work together. We crafted menus that encompassed the divergent terroir of the valleys of Napa and Ojai – and welcomed familiar faces and new friends.
